Health officials are under immense pressure and stress now dealing with the current Covid-19 outbreak.

They are working overtime, exposing themselves to higher risks of getting the virus themselves and sacrificing their personal time to help those in need.

In short, the job is not easy, but health officials at the Permai Hospital have been praised recently for not only dealing with the general stresses but doing so with Malaysian warmth and friendliness.

Taking it a step further

Officials there received a special thank you letter from the Embassy of China in appreciation of their work and for going the extra mile.

"Hospital Permai has provided necessary medical assistance to the Covid-19 patients and demonstrated extraordinary medical skills during their medical treatment."

"As a result, the patients who were treated in your hospital have a speedy recovery. Furthermore , your team has demonstrated the warmth and friendliness of Malaysian to patients and their family," the letter said.

Meanwhile, health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the letter was much appreciated and it showed the amount of dedication put in by the team at Permai Hospital.

He also thanked dedicated staff at the Johor State Health Department and officials at the Johor Bahru Public Health Laboratory.

Awwwwwwwww.... they must have really done a great job to leave such an impression.

It is understood that the hospital treated approximately six patients from China.

The patients were brought in around late January and had recovered and were discharged in February.
