It was his off day, and he was enjoying a much-needed family vacation in Teluk Kemang.

Then, he heard the distressed cries of a puppy.
Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officer Amran Mat Dali then sprung into action.
Malay Mail quoting a report from Harian Metro said Amran followed the cries and discovered a puppy that was trapped in a deep covered drain.
Without thinking twice, Amran then turned 'work' mode on and sprung into action to save the distressed puppy.

An unfortunate turn of events

Unfortunately, the drain cover gave way when he stepped on it, and he fell into the three-metre deep drain, severely injuring his left knee.

Authorities later came to Amran’s rescue and saved the puppy as well.
What a thing to happen.
In recognising his efforts, the Malaysia Animal Association (MAA) even gave Amran a certificate of appreciation.
Thank you for your efforts.
MAA president Arie Dwi Andika who visited Amran in the hospital also brought a cake and MAA souvenirs.
A sweet surprise.
Good job Amran! We need more people like you!
