Yes, we know; you're probably seething inside, asking yourself how some people can be this cruel.

But thankfully, the poor doggo had a guardian angel in the form of a delivery man.

Cruel act

Rozaidi Hashim has won praises online for rescuing an injured dog that was tied up in a plastic bag and thrown at a dumpsite in Kajang.

According to a report by Malay Mail, the 50-year-old was waiting to pick up some goods for delivery last Friday (4 December) when he saw a truck disposing a ‘package’ next to a dumpsite.

Curious, he approached the package and he was shocked to find a dog stuffed inside a transparent plastic bag.

The poor, poor dog.
Rozaidi promptly released the dog from the plastic bag and called non-governmental organisation Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) for help.

MDDB founder Wani Muthiah reportedly told Rozaidi to secure the poor dog while waiting for a volunteer to arrive, but the scared doggo reportedly limped to a nearby drain and hid itself.

Thankfully, the volunteers managed to rescue the dog and send it to a vet clinic in Puchong for treatment.

Wani told the news portal that the dog, now named Rozi, is recovering well but needs to stay at the clinic for two months for observation and treatment, and will later be put up for adoption.

If you want to help foot Rozi’s medical bills, you can donate some money to the St Angel Animal Medical Center via its Public Bank account (Acc number: 3140768212) with the reference MDDB DOG DEC 3.

Or if you want to help Rozi get justice, you can also lodge a police report. Details can be found at MDDB's Facebook page.

Let's hope we catch the heartless a-hole who did this to Rozi.
