Doctor2U Offers Malaysia's First On-Demand Ambulance Service
Healthcare related services are really booming in Malaysia lately. Not only do we have online platforms and mobile applications for on-the-spot medical consultation, now you can even request for an ambulance on-demand!
Doctor2U, as the name suggests, is a one-stop mobile app for any healthcare related service, including online medical consultation via chat or video, doctor home visit, medication delivery, and the newest feature, ambulance service.
According to a Bernama report, Doctor2U has allocated 20 ambulances in total in partnership with Falck First Ambulance.
The ambulance service is currently only available in Klang Valley and Kota Kinabalu, but both companies are looking to roll the service out in Penang, Melaka and Johor Bahru in the near future.
Although the app doesn’t give any sort of estimated time duration due to unpredictable traffic and weather conditions in Malaysia, it guarantees double the response time compared to standard emergency calls.
Users who request for the service will receive the nearest Falck ambulance directed via Waze and sent to the requested hospital drop-off spot.
Let's hope that this will inspire other healthcare services to offer faster and more efficient medical help!
