You would think that it would be quite a simple case, especially since a lot - and we mean A LOT - of photo and video evidence seems to be online.

Still, it looks like investigations are not coming to an end anytime soon relating to entrepreneur Neelofa and her preacher husband, PU Riz.

Investigations still ongoing.

For those of you who don't know, Neelofa or Noor Neelofa Mohd Nor and her husband are currently being investigated for breaching COVID-19 SOPs during their wedding ceremony.

According to Dang Wangi district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, the investigation papers (IP) were recently returned to the police by the Deputy Public Prosecutor.

"The IP has been sent back to us with a few instructions on actions to be taken.

"We will submit the IP back to the DPP for further action next week," he said as reported by The Star.

When will it end?

The OCPD however did not elaborate on the additional "instructions" and it's basically a waiting game now.

Last week, the police said that they had completed their investigations and forwarded their findings to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action.

The police had also recommended for the couple to be fined for the offence.

No social distancing during ceremony.

Statements were also taken from the newlyweds who have had to deal with mounting criticisms from Malaysians on the matter.

First, netizens were shocked at the lack of adherence to COVID-19 SOPs during their elaborate wedding ceremony.

This was followed by outrage when the couple suddenly posted pictures from Langkawi several days later, a trip which they claimed was business-related.

While the anger has somewhat subsided (because we always seem to have something new to be angry about), most are still waiting to see what the outcome is following the whole investigation.
