Find something fishy about your smart meter, like unusual or escalating electric bills? Then don’t keep silent about it.

You can report it to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). But if you think that TNB does not pay heed to your reports, then you have another option.

You can lodge a complaint to the Energy Commission directly.

Oh uh, I dunno...
Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change minister Yeo Bee Yin told Astro Awani that her Ministry is reviewing matters relating to the procedures of lodging complaints to the Energy Commission.

This option will be introduced if TNB fails to rectify the consumers' complaints, according to Yeo.

She said her department is currently going through all the complaints submitted by consumers and a solution is coming "in a week or two" once they pore over every single detail.

She added that her ministry will also review claims of soaring electric bills to ensure consumers get fair treatment.

If the Gobind Singh Deo and the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia could do the same for subpar internet connection, that would be great.
