China eventually confirmed that it was indeed the plague on Sunday (27 October).

A report by Express said that the boy is in a stable condition now.

Emergency declared

China, however, has declared an emergency following confirmation of the case.

A level IV emergency response had been initiated to curb the spread of the plague.

Doing their best to stop the spread.
