Enraged M’sian Smashes Ex-Girlfriend’s Door with Dumbbell After Getting Dumped

According to a Facebook statement issued by the Selangor contingent police, the man then used a dumbbell to break the glass door in her living room area while screaming his former lover’s name. The woman then ran upstairs to hide in the ensuite toilet in her bedroom while calling 911.

The man then started kicking the door of her room and using the dumbbell to smash the door. However, he was unsuccessful and tried to sneak into her room through the balcony. The previous paramour then broke her bedroom window while threatening, “Kau keluar sekarang aku nak hentam kau, jika tidak aku akan cuba masuk bilik kau,” or “Come out now because I want to hit you; otherwise, I will try to get into your room.” He then left her house.

The total damage to the house, which belongs to the woman’s father, is estimated to be RM20,000. After police investigations, it was discovered that the motive behind the incident was that the woman broke up with the man after dating for three months.

The man was later arrested in Petaling Jaya. A background check showed that he had 13 prior criminal records. He also had one wanted record.

The suspect has been remanded for four days, beginning 26 September, to assist in investigations under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief, Section 448 of the Penal Code for trespassing, and Section 506 for criminal intimidation.
