ETS Travelers Will Soon Have The Chance To Feel ‘Atas’ Thanks To The ETS Business Class Coaches
Sometimes, we just want to escape the horrible traffic jam, long hours of driving and the exorbitant prices of airline tickets when we want to travel to another part of Peninsular Malaysia or to balik kampung. So, what do Malaysians normally do? They take the KTM Electric Train Service (ETS)!
ETS tickets are sold at a very affordable price and the train runs between the Gemas line in Negeri Sembilan and Padang Besar line in Perlis. It was reported that roughly 7,000 passengers commute via the ETS every day. The train can go up to 160km/h and is currently the fastest train service in Malaysia.
If you’re a frequent ETS traveler or are planning to try out their services one of these days, we’ve got great news for you.
The New Straits Times reported that the ETS will be offering business class coaches starting next year. The business coach will only have 36 seats, so there will definitely be ample legroom and space making it a more comfortable journey as compared to other classes.
Just like long-haul commercial airlines, passengers on the ETS business class can watch videos on the video monitor, which is now available for each Business Class seat.
According to Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi, the government has also purchased nine ETS trains to meet the rising demands for the train service.
So, do you think that the government and ETS will introduce first-class coaches in the future? It’ll be a refreshing and exciting experience for our train services.
