Who is she?
35-year-old S. K. Sheila Sharon is the investigating officer of Bukit Aman Criminal Commercial Investigation Department. She has been with the police force for seven years and her father was a former police officer with Assistant Superintendent rank who had served the force for 39 years before this.
What happened in the viral videos?
In the first video, she was seen berating two Lance Corporals who asked her to show her authority card. She pointed her finger at them as she exclaimed loudly, “You’re not worthy to take my IC and my authority card lah. You’re just a Lance Corporal, not an OCPD.”
“You don’t have the authority; your rank is lower than mine. You’re not an OCPD to talk like that to me with such a lowly rank,” she continued. She was seen holding up her mobile phone and appeared to be recording them as well.
undefinedAfter the first video went viral, she popped up in another video where she shouted at a man and a woman in an argument in a car park in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. In the video, she said, "The parking lot is spacious, and the car owner opened his car. He shouted 'Oi' at me while I was parking my car and called me crazy."
She appeared to be filming them with her mobile phone as she made comments about the woman’s appearance. "You also dress so beautifully with your white shirt in a sexy way. I like your nail polish so much, and I also like your sunglasses too."
"You are literally harassing me now, go away," the car owner replied.
undefinedIt appears that she has also attracted attention previously for her behaviour, as she also insulted a lower-ranking police officer in another video filmed at a police station.

What happened after that?
As reported by NST, after the videos caught the attention of the authorities, she was summoned by the Selangor police to have her statement recorded. She was also detained at the Gombak police headquarters.
At a press conference on 22 June, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution said that she was suspended until the investigation process is completed.
According to him, a total of six disciplinary investigation papers were opened by Bukit Aman's Integrity and Standard Compliance Department on the cases.
On 26 June, she was charged at two separate magistrate’s courts. She pleaded not guilty to two charges before Magistrate Chai Guan Hock and one charge before Magistrate Nur Hafizah Rajuni.

She was accused before Magistrate Chai of making criminal threats with an intention to intimidate a 69-year-old woman at a restaurant located in Taman Sri Gombak, within the Gombak district on 15 June around noon. The charge was framed under Section 506 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to two years or a fine or both upon conviction.
Following that, Sheila was accused before Magistrate Nur Hafizah for intimidating a male police officer of a lance corporal rank with intent to insult his modesty around 1.25 pm at the same location and date with the previous charges. This charge was also framed under Section 509 of the Penal Code.
Inspector Sheila’s Take
After the proceedings at the Selayang Magistrate’s Court, Inspector Sheila told reporters that she never received any letter of suspension from the force. NST reported her saying, “The charge was also framed under Section 509 of the Penal Code. "I was never suspended. That is why I was surprised, on why the Home Minister issued a statement when until today, I haven't received any letter of suspension."
Her lawyer also told the press that they will not be sending any letter of representation to the Attorney-General (A-G) Chambers to review the charges. "We want justice. I'm not going to tolerate this. I will not be sending any representation, and we will fight till the end," he said.”
Sheila also claimed that she was the victim of jealousy and discrimination saying,’ "I think there is some jealousy... discrimination. When you shine, not many people like it.” She added that she had been reprimanded many times because of her loud voice by her superiors but that she could not alter it. She added that there had been many attempts to bribe her in the past but as she did not tolerate it, there were some who tried to kick her out.
