The floods seems to have improved in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Perak.
According to a report by Bernama, more people have been allowed to return to their homes.
In Kelantan, the number of evacuees dropped to 1,704 as compared to 2,118 on Sunday evening.
In Terengganu, the number of evacuees dropped to 3,956 compared to 6,981 as of 3pm on Sunday.
In Pahang, flood evacuees dropped to 23,944 and in Perak only one relief centre with 44 flood victims remain open.
Numbers not dropping in Johor
There's bad news in Johor though.
State Health and Environment Committee chairman R.Vidyananthan said that the number of evacuees had risen to 3,145 there.
Kota Tinggi has the highest number of victims at 1,848, followed by Johor Bahru (1,057), Kulai and Segamat (94) respectively and Mersing (52).
MET department warns of rain
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dangerous weather conditions as of 8.45am today (11 January).
The notice, published on the department's Facebook page said that there would be dangerously heavy rains in Kudat, Sabah the whole of today.
The department also said that there would be orang level heavy rains in Pantai Barat and Sandakan until the 12th of January and yellow level rains in Pahang (Maran, Kuatan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin), Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru), Sarawak (Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu and Mukah), Sabah (Kuala Penyu, Beaufort amd Tambunan), Sandakan (Telupid and Sandakan) and Labuan until the 12th of January.
