A viral video has sparked outrage among Malaysians after it showed a man, believed to be a foreign national, casually urinating while riding an escalator at an MRT station.
In the video posted on Threads, a user standing a few steps behind the man recorded the moment urine began dripping from his pants onto his shoes and the escalator. The man was seen wearing a black shirt and standing still as the incident unfolded.

Needless to say, social media users were quick to express their disgust over the incident, with many urging the authorities to take immediate action.

RapidKL launches cleaning operation at affected area
Meanwhile, RapidKL has issued a statement urging members of the public not to engage in such behaviour and to report similar incidents to staff immediately.
"Do not imitate this action. If you witness any wrongful or suspicious activities such as public urination, eating or drinking inside trains, or other inappropriate behaviour, please report them immediately to our staff, auxiliary police officers, or through our helpline."
RapidKL also urged the public to work together to ensure public transportation facilities remain clean, safe and comfortable for everyone.
According to a report by New Straits Times (NST), the incident is believed to have taken place at the MRT Titiwangsa station.
The affected area was cleaned immediately after the incident was brought to the operator's attention to ensure the station remained clean, safe and comfortable for commuters.
