Malaysians love Gardenia bread and other products by the brand so much so that it has become a staple in many households.

As such, this may come across as bad news for many of you.

Gardenia has announced that they will be increasing the price of selected products.

The price hike is effective from Dec 1, 2020.

According to Bernama, the products that will undergo price changes include the Gardenia Squiggles - Funky Strawberry, Choco Malto; Gardenia Delicia Soft Roll - Butter Toffee, Sambal Bilis, Gardenia Fluffy Red Beans; Gardenia Toast'em; Delicia Butter Raisin, Butterscotch, Choco Raisin serta Raspberry Milk & Cranberries.

According to the press statement, the reason behind the price hike is due to an increase in price of raw ingredients including vegetable fat, cocoa powder, milk and several other factors.

Thankfully, the price of their staple white and wholemeal bread seems to be unchanged.
