Not too long ago, Defense Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that returnees from Sabah would have to take a compulsory COVID-19 test and if it came out negative, they would not have to undergo home quarantine.

And one of those people who are currently undergoing quarantine is Muar MP, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Better be safe than sorry

The former Youth and Sports Minister recently shared that he has taken his first COVID-19 test on 26 September and the result came out negative.

Back home from Sabah❤️ COVID Test on the 26th came back NEGATIVE, alhamdulillah. Took one more test on the 29th & still waiting for the result. Tolong doakan semua baik baik sahaja. Saya geng gelang pink. Masa lapang, masa membaca. Bangsa yang membaca, Bangsa yang berjaya. #MUDA

He was one of the many politicians who recently went to Sabah for the state elections and was there for a week to promote his new party, MUDA.

For some undisclosed reason, he took another test on the 29th and is currently waiting for his results.

The Johorean is currently undergoing quarantine at his home where he’s spending his time by reading books and joining virtual political discussions.

His followers left encouraging comments and prayed that his second test would also come out negative.

We hope that Syed Saddiq will set a good example by practising self-quarantine for 14 days although his test result came back negative.
