If you ever need another reason to head up to Genting Highlands...

eSports enthusiasts in Malaysia have another reason to celebrate as the country's biggest Defense of the Ancients (Dota 2) tournament will be taking place in Genting Highlands.

The ESL One Genting 2018 is a collaboration between our favourite hilltop resort and ESL, the largest eSports company in the world.

The world's top 16 Dota 2 teams will battle it out for a total prize pool of USD400,000 (RM1.58mil) and 400 highly-coveted Qualifying Points for The International 2018, also known as the World Cup of Dota 2.

The preliminary rounds will take place on Tuesday all the way up to Thursday, while the finals will happen from Friday until Sunday (26-28 January).

Tickets to the tournament are priced at RM20 and are already on sale on ESL's website, but be quick though, we heard tickets are almost sold out.

If you're too cheapskate to buy tickets, there will be a free public viewing of the preliminary rounds at the Genting International Showroom.

Not a fan of eSports? Well, you can still go lepak at Genting Highlands because they have all these new attractions:
