Good News For Single People: You Can Now Cross State Borders To Visit Family

Single people who have not been able to visit their families for the past three months can now return to their hometowns, as the restriction on traveling across state borders has been lifted.

"If you wish to visit your elderly parents at home now, you can do so. However, I advice you to practice good hygiene, wear masks in public places and avoid crowded place when you return to your kampung. 

"Remember, if your parents are old, they are more vulnerable to infection. So, although we are happy to be able to visit them, our main responsibility is tto keep them safe from infections," Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced.
 

Local tourism industry can reopen

PM Muhyiddin announced a new set of guidelines.
He also said that the local tourism industry will be allowed to reopen so you can take your family on a holiday within the country. 

International borders are still closed, however. 

So, everyone can travel now, but just within the country. 
 
Muhyiddin made the announcement during a special address on 7 June, two days before the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is set to end. 

He also announced that Recovery Movement Control Order will be implemented from 10 June till 31 August.  

Gathering in large group including at education institutions and places of worship is still forbidden so continue staying at home as much as possible. 

However, the government is looking into reopening schools in stages and allowing more people to attend religious activities at places of worships, based on the capacity of the premises. 

Updates on the SOPs for this will be announced soon.

More sports and recreation activities will be allowed


Sports and recreation activities that does not involve bodily contact will be allowed soon. 
  You can soon engage in activities such as badminton, dishing, bowling, archery, shooting and others.

However, group sports such as rugby, hokey and others, as well as tournaments involving large groups of spectators are still forbidden. 

Activities involving public pools such as swimming and other water activities are also still not allowed. 
 

Almost back to normal, with a few restrictions still in place


Large gatherings are still disallowed; some businesses such as pubs, nightclubs, massage services and karaoke will remain closed; and social distancing, wearing masks in public places and maintaining high standards of hygine is still encouraged. 

So, guys. Rejoice but don't forget the lessons we've learned in the past few months.
