The government will be launching a "new normal" campaign as many Malaysians have gotten too comfortable and complacent about the SOPs in place to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Security Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri made the announcement during his daily press conference on Thursday (6 August).

"As we know, many Malaysians are getting too comfortable and negligent about SOPs and new normal so the govenment will be launching a campaign so that this new normal will be a part of our everyday lives," he said.

Prime Minister to officially launch the campaign soon

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhiyddin Yassin will be launching the campaign on 8 August in Pagoh, Astro Awani reported.

During the event, he will be inaugurating the logo and tagline of the campaign, as well as a "new normal" book prepared by the Health Ministry.

Well, guys, it's time for us to buck up and start following the SOPs and practice the new normal diligently.

It is not yet time to let our guards down. Let's work together to make sure we defeat COVID-19 together.
