The Government Wants To Build A Futsal Court In Every Housing Estate In Kuantan
How many of you play futsal at least once a week?
We’ve got big news for you, especially futsal addicts in Kuantan, because the government wants to build a futsal court in every housing estate in the city!
The Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) is planning this big project in order to encourage a healthy lifestyle among the people of Kuantan, as reported by Bernama.
The futsal court is reportedly estimated to cost about RM500,000 each and will be built with the best facilities, including roof and lights so that it can also be utilised at night.
Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar said the government has also approved nine other projects in Pahang involving building and upgrading futsal courts, multipurpose courts and fields worth RM3.8 million this year, as reported by Bernama.
This is an increase from the budget allocated for similar projects in the state in 2016, which was reportedly RM2.2 million.
Let's hope that the government will extend this project to the other states as well.
P.S. We could use a futsal court at our office.
