With humans forced to stay in during the Movement Control Order (MCO), more and more animals have been coming out of the jungle to roam the streets.

In Kenyir, Terengganu, four elephants were spotted taking a leisurely stroll near a petrol station there.

A 21-second video of the wild animals was shared on Info Bencana Terengganu on Facebook recently, as reported by Bernama.

Remain calm

Terengganu Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) director Abdul Malek Mohd Yusof urged the public not to panic and report to them immediately if they come across wild animals.

“We will send in officers to identify and assist if there’s a threat to the residents of the area.”

“There’s also a possibility that the location is a passing route for the animals,” he told Bernama.

The report said the petrol station used to be an old route for wild elephants but had not been used by them in a while.

We bet the head elephant said “Thank God those pesky noisy humans are gone! We can now live in peace.”
