Guess What? Malaysia Is Now In The Recovery Phase, Says Health DG
There's still a long way to go in the war against the COVID-19 pandemic.
But we are going in the right direction, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
In fact, we're almost winning the battle.

The MCO is working

Good news for Malaysia, says Dr Noor Hisham. Dr Noor Hisham told The Star Online that based on the recent statistics, Malaysia is now firmly in the recovery phase.
As of Tuesday (28 April), we have discharged more than 67 per cent (almost 4,000 patients) of all its COVID-19 cases.
A total of 95 patients were discharged on Monday (27 April), and at present, there are only 1,764 cases that are active.
On top of that, Monday was the 11th straight day that the number of daily infections in the country is double digits, and we now have a total of 67 green zones in the country.
According to Dr Noor Hisham, these numbers show that the Movement Control Order (MCO) was a success, and we were able to ride the COVID-19 tide.
“We are now in a recovery phase. We have been able to flatten the curve and have prevented the exponential surge of cases, ” he was quoted as saying.
However, having said that, Dr Noor Hisham has warned against being complacent, saying that a single misstep could make matters worse.
So, you guys, we're almost at the end game. Do continue to play your part for a little while more, and we will be clear in the woods.
