Your journey has gotten a little bit easier.

A pedestrian bridge linking the Bandar Utama MRT station to the 1 Utama shopping center is finally accessible, much to the joy of the people.

According to a report by Bernama, the 35-meter walkway was officially opened on Thursday.

More reason for you to walk.
The link-bridge, which was built by Bandar Utama City Corporation Sdn Bhd (the people who owns 1 Utama and some of its surrounding buildings), would now give shoppers access to the shopping center, the One World Hotel, the IBM and KPMG office towers, Media Prima and 1 First Avenue via the MRT station's Entrance B.

Prior to this, shoppers would have to make their way to 1Powerhouse to wait for a shuttle bus or walk to 1 Utama.

How we feel going to 1 Utama via the MRT last time.
If you exit through Entrance B, it will take you to the One World Hotel and ground floor of 1 Utama.

MRT Corporation Sdn Bhd said in a statement cited by Bernama that the free shuttle bus service to 1 Utama from the 1Powerhouse MRT Feeder Bus Terminal will continue, so if you don't feel like paying for parking, you can park at the MRT station and then take the bus to 1 Utama.

With the opening of the new pedestrian bridge, there's really no reason for you to not take the MRT to 1 Utama.

(Please take the MRT to 1 Utama, you guys. It's so hard to find a parking spot during the weekends.)
