Have nothing to do this weekend? Why not go watch someone play online games?

For free, somemore.
The government is giving away tickets to the Malaysia Cyber Games 2018 (MCG18) tournament happening this 13 and 14 January.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak told The Star Online that the government made the decision so that eSports enthusiasts will not be burdened by the ticket prices.
Furthermore, Salleh added that there will be a lucky draw with prizes worth up to RM20,000 on Sunday (14 January).
Tickets to the previous editions of the Cyber Games tournament, he said, usually sell out a week before the event.
Set to take place this weekend at at the Putra World Trade Centre, MCG18 will see more than 1,000 gaming pros competing in nine popular video games - Dota 2, Injustice 2, Street Fighter 5, Counter Strike Go, Tekken 7, Formula 1 2017, FIFA 18, Player Unknown Battleground and Mobile Legend.
A total prize pool of RM300,000 is up for grabs. That's a lot of money.
