Back in 2022, our local firemen or ‘Abang Bomba, ’ first became viral when they showed off their muscles during the National Day Parade at Dataran Merdeka. Ahead of this year’s Hari Merdeka, we’re highlighting a firefighter who has gone viral and amassed nearly 200k followers on TikTok and lights up the fires of his followers. @Afie_22 also boasts 3.6M likes on his page.

A burning building has nothing on him because he’s a smokin’ hot guy. Check out this video of him flashing his cute smile to the camera and slowly taking off his jacket. Users flooded his page with comments like, “Salam, bang, there’s a fire in my phone.” “How can I get you to come even if I don’t have an emergency?” “Bang, help me. I’m not married yet,” and “Help me, my finger doesn’t want to scroll up.”

He has also garnered the attention of those who aspire to be firefighters with his videos of getting ready for action and rolling out. One of these videos has 23.6M views as of the time of writing.

Obviously, as fires spread quickly, the time it takes a firefighter to put on his uniform and gear is essential. This requires immense strength as it involves carrying a self-contained breathing apparatus, including an 18-20 kg gas cylinder which contains compressed air when oxygen is low. It’s definitely not easy being in the industry!
