Big news for Malaysian comedy fans, Harith Iskander has made it to the finals of the Funniest Person in the World competition! He beat 15 other contenders in the semi-finals for a spot in the grand finale in Helsinki, Finland last night.
The comedian announced his latest success on his Facebook page and also called for people to vote for him because the final winner will be determined by online votes. He will be releasing more information about this in the coming days on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Malaysians can start voting now up till 8 December.

Harith will compete with four other comedians for the winning title, Alex Calleja from the Philippines, Mino Van Nassau from India, David Kilimnick from Israel and Katerina Vrana from Greece on 8 December. The winner of ‘The Funniest Person in the World’, to be announced during the competition’s gala night on 10 December, will receive the grand prize of US$100,000 (RM444,845), while the second and third place winners will receive US$10,000 (RM44,484) and US$5,000 (RM22,242) respectively.
