“He has powerful people protecting him” — M’sian Left Shaken After Cheating Foreign Ex-Boyfriend Threatens Her
Imagine being in a three-year relationship with someone, believing they were your future only to discover they weren’t the person you thought you knew.
That’s exactly what happened to a Malaysian woman known as Niqi. Recently, she took to social media to share her terrifying experience with her boyfriend, who turned out to be a dangerous individual. What's even more shocking is that she wasn’t his only victim.
“I am scared for my life.”
In a three-minute video posted on TikTok, Niqi revealed she had been in a relationship with a foreign man for three years. She recently discovered that not only had he cheated on her with multiple women, but he was also involved in a serious legal matter.
“I trusted him with my heart, my safety, and my life. But the man I thought I knew doesn’t exist. I found out he was cheating on me with multiple women, had taken money from several people, and had been living an entirely separate life behind my back.
She added, "He promised to marry me. He made me believe I was his future wife. But I was just another part of his cover.”
Niqi said she couldn’t disclose details about the man’s legal issues, but after confronting him, his true identity began to unravel, and that’s when she started fearing for her life.
According to her, the man began threatening her, sending intimidating messages to silence her. What terrified her most was knowing he had powerful people protecting him people who could help ensure her voice was never heard.
“Right now, he’s very unstable. He has nothing to lose because he’s already lost everything.”
She tried reporting the case to the police

Like many others in similar situations, Niqi went to the authorities when she realised she could be in danger. Unfortunately, she was told there was nothing the police could do since “nothing physical” had happened yet.
“Am I supposed to wait for something to happen? Do I have to wait for the worst?”
Toward the end of her video, Niqi expressed hope that her story would encourage others with similar experiences to speak up. She also hoped the video could serve as evidence in case anything happened to her.
“This is for every woman who has been lied to, manipulated, and made to feel powerless. This is for my mother, my sister, and my friends who have been silenced. I’m speaking out because silence protects him, and puts me in more danger," she said.
"This is me telling you girls out there: this is not your fault. You’re just a victim.”
Other victims have since spoken out
On Instagram, Niqi shared a post from another individual who claimed to have also fallen victim to the same man. She said she was only with him for a year but was still recovering from the trauma.
“This man is a serious danger to Malaysians, especially women. He has a history of violence, including physically assaulting his former Malaysian employer. He’s displayed disturbing behaviour, like making inappropriate moaning sounds near primary schools and lying about being sexually assaulted by his sister," she shared.
"We strongly believe he should be deported to prevent further harm.”
Another woman also reached out to Niqi, sharing that she had met the same man through the dating app Bumble. She eventually ghosted him after sensing something was off.
Netizens react
As of this article, Niqi’s video has garnered nearly 30K views. Many users have voiced their support, while others criticised the authorities for their handling of the situation.
“So if we’re threatened, it means nothing to the police? Do victims have to be physically harmed before action is taken?”
