If you guys can’t wait to cross states to visit your loved ones, here’s some good news for you. Interstate travel restrictions will be lifted within the next few days!

This has been confirmed by Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Twitter post.

He also reminded everyone who’s planning to visit their loved ones in other states to always observe related SOPs.

Don't forget that the virus is still out there

"In the next couple of days interstate travel restrictions will be lifted. It's important to take all precautions like wearing a mask, washing your hands and physical distancing even for those vaccinated.

"In keeping your loved ones and family safe, please do periodic saliva RTK Ag self-testing," he tweeted.

The government had earlier announced that the interstate travel restriction ban would be lifted when 90 per cent of the adult population are fully vaccinated and currently, 88.8 per cent of adult population had received complete doses of vaccines.
