Despite being locked up at home due to the new Movement Control Order (MCO), the number of daily COVID-19 cases has gotten out of hand.
As a result of that, our national healthcare system is being overwhelmed, and some hospitals are in dire need of help.
One of the hospitals, the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM), has just launched a public fundraising campaign on e-commerce marketplace Lazada.
The fund will be used to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) for their medical frontliners.
According to Lazada, the fundraising campaign is part of their LazadaForGood campaign to support our frontliners in the fight against the pandemic.
On Sunday (31 January), Universiti Malaya confirmed via a Twitter post that the fundraising campaign is indeed legit, and the medical center needs all the help it can get.
You can donate as little as RM50 and as much as RM500.
On top of that, Lazada has also pledged to contribute an additional RM1 for every RM4 donated on their platform, so you know for sure that your donation is for a good cause.
If you have a little bit of cash to spare, do consider donating to PPUM to help our frontliners who've been working tirelessly to keep us save.
You can visit the “Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya” official store on Lazada to make a donation.
