In this modern age where everything is now digital - from your banking accounts, medical records, job applications, and pretty much almost everything under the sun - keeping your personal data and your passwords safe feels like a very tough job.
And it is. Coming up with a strong password which you can also remember sounds easier than it is.
So, do you think that your passwords are strong enough to withstand hacks from malicious parties? Recently, Splashdata released a list of the worst passwords for 2017 based on five million leaked passwords.
Making their way to the list are two very familiar passwords – “123456” and “Password” - which have been a fixture on the list since 2011. These two phrases, in fact, are on their way to achieving permanent residence status on the list because it’s so predictable and so easy to hack.

The list also includes a phrase that 'Star Wars' fans should be worried about since their undying devotion to the movie franchise can potentially cause some serious repercussions in their lives.
Users are always encouraged to set up an alpha-numerical password including symbols to make it more complex an unpredictable.
And did you know that you are advised to change your passwords every three months for security purposes?
