Hey Animal Lovers, Zoo Negara Is Looking For Volunteers To Help Feed The Animals!

A lot of businesses, whether big or small, have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of those badly affected is Zoo Negara, as the various movement control orders (MCOs) have forced them to close for an extended period of time.

With the end of the current MCO nowhere in sight, Zoo Negara needs our help.

And this is where you can come in.

Extra hands needed

Zoo Negara is looking for volunteers to help feed our animal friends and also clean their cages.

According to Rescue Bencana Malaysia, Zoo Negara is currently running short on staff, and they are appealing to kind-hearted Malaysians to come in and lend a helping hand.

The call for help was posted by Facebook group Ukay Heights Communer:

"Our neighbour, Zoo Negara is looking for helping hands to feed their animals and clean their cages. They are short staffed and are unable to cope," they wrote.

According to the Facebook post, Zoo Negara currently has less than 100 staff working to keep the place running, which, to be honest, is quite a daunting task considering that the zoo is hugggeeeeee!

So, if you have some free time to spare and don't mind getting your hands dirty, you can get in touch with Rescue Bencana Malaysia at these numbers:

  • 019-346 9800
  • 017-244 2466
  • 017-846 6574

Come and think of it, how often do you get the chance to leave your house and spend a whole day with our animal friends up close and personal?
