Many people are struggling to make ends meet now, and any help is much appreciated.

Understanding this, a hospitality school in Bali has stopped receiving money for tuition fees.

Instead, the school is accepting coconuts as a form of payment from students facing financial difficulties due to the pandemic.
Coconuts as payment.Balipuspa News reported that besides coconuts, the school also accepted moringa and gotu kola leaves as payment.

Items to be turned into oil and soap

The report added that the coconuts would be turned into virgin coconut oil and the moringa and gotu kola leaves would be turned into soap.

“Because of this pandemic, we have adopted a flexible policy. We produce virgin coconut oil, so students can pay their tuition by bringing coconuts.

“We have to educate them to optimise the natural resources around them.

“When the pandemic is over, they will enter the world of hospitality with different skills,” said Venus One Tourism Academy’s director Wayan Pasek Adi Putra.
