How to Invest in Amanah Saham with the Touch ‘n Go eWallet
If you keep your money lying around in your bank account, it’s tempting to waste it on overpriced coffee and dining out, we get it. Now with Touch ‘n Go’s TNG Digital Sdn Bhd’s (TNGD) collaboration with Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), existing unitholders of ASNB will be able to invest in the unit trusts through the GOinvest feature without needing to visit a branch and queueing up.
What can you do through the app?
-
E-wallet users can now directly make an investment in any of ASNB’s 17 unit trusts alongside GOinvest’s nine existing unit trusts.
-
Users can access their ASNB account as well as their dependents’ accounts to view their last five transactions
-
Top-up existing funds and invest in new funds
Users can only invest in ASNB funds during business operation hours:
Fixed Funds: 2.00 am to 7.00 pm
Variable Funds: 2.00 am to 4.00 pm

What can’t you do?
These features are in the pipeline but for now:
-
Malaysians looking to open new accounts will need to visit physical branches, its agents, or banks as only existing users can invest in funds
-
Unitholders will not be able to redeem or withdraw from their unit trust using the e-wallet for now and will need to visit the physical branches if they wish to withdraw money as the investment fund is meant to be long-term.
Two types of Unit Trust Funds offered through the eWallet
1. Fixed price funds
Fees & Cashback
-
Take note that TnG charges a RM1 service fee every time you invest in a fixed-price fund and a sales charge of between 1% to 2% for variable-price funds.
-
The minimum investment you can make for any of the funds is RM10.
-
To encourage its users to invest, TnG is currently offering cashback rewards for those who subscribe through the app until 8 October 2023. Users will get a RM1 cashback when they invest RM10 in any ASNB fund and a bonus RM10 cashback for investments of more than RM500 in any variable-price fund.
