If you've already planned a BBQ party to ring in the new year, you might want to change your plans a little bit.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecasted that it will be wet and yucky all the way until the end of the year, The Star Online reports.According to the Department, Malaysians can expect rainfall from 26 December all the way to 31 December due to the north-east wind.
Those staying in in the east coast states, as well as north and east of Sabah, will experience a heavier rainfall.
Don't worry though; the Met Department doesn't expect any major floods to happen because the presence of Tropical Storm Tembin in the Philippines is expected to bring slightly lower rainfall to Peninsular Malaysia.
So, yay to you, Tembin!

However, things aren't looking too sunny and bright (heh!) for our friends in Sabah and Sarawak as the Met Department has issued a separate bad weather advisory.
Those staying in the Tuaran disctricts, Papar, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Pedalaman and Kota Belud in Sabah, as well as Limbang and Labuan in Sarawak, are advised to be careful as strong winds and heavy rain are expected.
Some places in Johor, Terengganu, Kelantan and Pahang will also be affected, the Met Department said.
Stay safe and stay dry, you guys!
