Japanese Fans Seen Picking Up Trash At The World Cup Stadium To Celebrate Their First Win
Japan has once again proven that they have the best fans in the world.
The Japanese football team made history after becoming the first Asian country to defeat a South American opponent at the FIFA World Cup.
Dubbed the Samurai Blue, Japan shocked everyone on the world stage beating Colombia 2-1 at their first Group H match on Tuesday.
But how the fans celebrated the victory left people in awe.While most of the crowd were leaving the stadium, the Japanese fans stayed behind and started cleaning up the areas they were seated at in the most systematic way only the Japanese know.
With large blue plastic bags in hand, the fans were seen moving aisle by aisle to pick up rubbish on the ground.
The scene was captured on camera by a fellow spectator and the clip has since made the rounds on social media.
In fact, this wasn't the first time the Japanese fans had demonstrated such a selfless act.
They had done the same thing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, even after losing the game against Ivory Coast back then.
This move inspired Senegal fans to clean up after themselves as well to celebrate their triumphant win against Poland several hours later with a final score of 2-1.
