Kind Hearted M'sian Sells Proton Iswara To Pakcik For Just RM1 So That He Could Deliver Food To His Customers
These days, you can't buy anything much with just RM1.
A car workshop owner in Melaka knows that, so he sold his old car to a pakcik for that price.
Lending a helping hand
Shikh Muhammad Makhdad Haron, who owns Makhdad Workshop in Durian Tunggal, touched the hearts of many netizens when he sold a second-hand Proton Iswara Aeroback to Isa Abdul Ghani for only RM1.
Shikh Muhammad told Malay Mail that the 72-year-old badly needed a car to help him transport and sell frozen roti canai packets to various homes and shops.
Shikh said he heard about Isa’s plight via a mechanics’ WhatsApp group, so he invited Isa to his workshop to see him and ask him a few questions.
“He told me that he had sold his only car as it had a lot of problems.
“And then I asked him if he had RM1 and offered to sell the car to him for that price,” he was quoted as saying.

Shikh Muhammad told the news portal that the RM1 was just a 'gimmick', as he really wanted to give the second-hand car for free to Isa so that it would be easier for him to move around to deliver frozen roti canai.
He added that initially, Isa wanted to buy a second-hand car from him workshop with a budget of between RM1,500 to RM2,000.
“But he was in for a big surprise when I told him that the car was for a price beyond his imagination.
“I felt happy being able to give him the car,” he was quoted as saying, adding that he bought the car built in the 1990s just six months ago.
This wasn't the first time Shikh Muhammad had been charitable.
Prior to this, he had also gifted another second hand Proton Iswara to a woman selling nasi lemak to help her with her business during the COVID-19 pandemic.
God bless his heart! We definitely need more people like Shikh Muhammad in this world.
