Malaysians, the King needs our prayers.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abduallah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) after complaining that he was “not comfortable with his health”.

According to a statement released by Istana Negara's Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, the King had been admitted to IJN on Monday (21 September).

“Al-Sultan Abdullah has been advised to be placed under doctor’s observation and he is not in a worrying state at the moment,” the statement read.

​Ahmad Fadil also assured the King was expected to be discharged from IJN soon.

The statement added that Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, who was in Kota Baru on a personal visit rushed back to the capital to be with the King.

“Tunku Hajah Azizah has cancelled the three day trip which was expected to end tomorrow (23 September).

“The rakyat has been called to pray for Al-Sultan Abdullah's speedy recovery and for him to be blessed with good health,” he said in the statement.

We really hope that it is nothing serious and our prayers are with the King tonight.
