The King Awarded Health DG Dr Noor Hisham 'Tan Sri' Title For His Contribution Towards The Country
If there is one hero who emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic that the whole country could stand behind, it'll be Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
That's right! He's a 'Tan Sri' as of today (17 August).
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah awarded Dr Hisham the title at the King's official birthday celebration.

Always a humble man

Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Despite being awarded one of the highest title in the country, Dr Hisham remains humble.
He told Astro Awani that the award didn't just belong to him, but said the the honour was bestowed upon all frontliners, especially those working with Health Ministry.
"Alhamdulilah. This is an honour given to all frontliners from the Health Ministry. This also shows the trust and appreciation of the government towards the civil society," he reportedly said.
Besides Dr Hisham, there were several other healthcare workers who were also given tokens of appreciation during the event.

Outpouring of well wishes from KKM and public

Malaysians, including those with the Health Ministry, couldn't be happier to see Dr Hisham receiving the recognition for all the hardwork he has put in.
Social media is also filled with well wishes for the good doctor.
Congratulations, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham.
Thank you for everything you have sacrificed for the country.
