Just as we were approaching the end of the Movement Control Order (MCO), the Ministry of Health has declared a new red zone in Peninsular Malaysia.
According to the ministry’s official Facebook page, Kuantan has been named the latest red zone in the country, after 43 cases were recorded in the district.
“Continue to stay at home, practice social distancing, and improve your self-hygiene,” the ministry advised.
Besides Kuantan, Jerantut in Pahang is also a red zone.
This brings the total of red zones to 24 in the country.
As of Thursday (9 April), there are only four green zones left in Peninsula Malaysia – Yan, Kampar, Machang, and Hulu Terengganu.
More sad news: Kuala Lumpur, on the other hand, is now a 100 per cent red zone territory after all of its areas were declared recorded more than 40 COVID-19 cases.

How Can You Do Your Part During The MCO?

If you don’t want to be part of the statistic, then it’s crucial to play your role as a citizen of Malaysia.
