A Legend: Nunuk Nuraini, The Woman Who Invented Indomie Mi Goreng, Dies
It's the middle of the night and your stomach is crying out for food.
You're too lazy to go out and soup isn't an option, what do you reach for?
For many Malaysians (and broke students), it would be an easy-to-make, cannot-go-wrong-even-if-you-have-the-tendency-to-burn-water, Indomie Mi Goreng.
This is why so many people were upset to learn that the inventor of the original Indomie Mi Goreng flavour, Nunuk Nuraini, had passed away.
“Ibu Hajjah Nunuk Nuraini passed away and returned peacefully to Allah,” confirmed Indofood spokeswoman Nurlita Novi Arlaida. She was 59-years-old.
Indofood did not elaborate on the nature of her death.
The internet mourns
Many netizens especially in this part of the world were upset upon hearing of Nunuk's death and took to social media to offer their respect and condolences. An error occurred while retrieving the Tweet. It might have been deleted.

Changing lives through food
Nunuk or better known as Bu Nunuk was born in Bandung and worked as a flavor development manager at Indofood.
Other than the original Mi Goreng flavour, Bu Nunuk also invented the soto, rendang, chicken curry and sambal matah flavours for Indomie, a company that she was attached with for 30 years.
While people in this region are more than familiar with the brand, Indomie is also a favourite among foodies in Nigeria, Australia, the United States and 80 other countries around the world.
Thank you for leaving us with such a delicious legacy Bu Nunuk. You are a legend!
