There are a lot of ways one can show their patriotism towards their country.

For one local artist, he showed it the best way he knows how: by creating a masterpiece.

Took a fortnight to complete

In a bid to show his patriotism towards the kind and country, a calligraphy artist created a mural of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on the wall of his house.

According to a report by Malay Mail, Mohd Shah Tumin created the piece by using just the calligraphy of the Agong’s name.

How incredibly awesome is that?

What's in a name?
The artist told the news portal that he chose the YDPA’s portrait because he is the current monarch.

“More importantly, I wanted to create some excitement in conjunction with Merdeka,” he said, adding that it took him two weeks to complete the portrait.

He also said that the mural will remain on his wall even after the Merdeka celebrations.

If you want to check out how the 36-year-old created the masterpiece, he uploaded a video of the process of creating the mural on his YouTube channel:

This is not the first time he won praises for his work though.

Prior to this, the artist had drawn portraits of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah using chilli sauce and soy sauce.
