However, a local food delivery rider who was on his way to deliver food did the exact opposite.

A kind gesture indeed

According to a report by Malay Mail, an unnamed GrabFood became the toast of the internet after he stopped his motorcycle while rushing to deliver his order to help a blind man cross the road.

The abang rider's good deed was captured on camera by Facebook user Fariza Hassan Bakri, who shared the photos on her social media page:

According to Fariza, she witnessed the heartwarming scene last Saturday (14 October) in Gombak.

Fariza wrote that the kind-hearted GrabFood delivery rider stopped by the side of the road after noticing a blind man trying to the cross a busy intersection.

“To GrabFood riders, even if you’re in a rush to send your customers’ orders, you can still stop for a while to help someone in need.

“While crossing the road might seem easy, helping that blind uncle is a big deal for someone like him,” she wrote.



After her post went viral, netizens wasted no time showering the abang rider with praises, thanking him for going out of his way to help a pakcik in neeed.
