The Longest Name In Malaysia Is 12 Words Long And Has The Words “Princess” And “Bidadari”
Each year, we'll come across some unique and quirky names that will go viral overnight.
These names aren’t just some pet names; they’re actual names stated in their identification cards and unfortunately, stay with them for a lifetime.
You’ve got Merdeka, Superman, Durian, and many more.
But do you know about the longest name ever registered in Malaysia?
On Thursday, the National Registration Department (NRD) director-general Datuk Mohammad Razin Abdullah revealed that the longest name ever registered with the Department, which came in 2017, has a whopping 63 characters and 12 words.

The name Princess Aura Nurr Emily Amara Auliya Bidadari Nawal El Zendra Mohd Sufian might be a mouthful, but she’s probably the most popular kid in Malaysia right now after setting a new record for her name.
Her name surpassed Nur Fathaniah Tariyah Karimah Farwizah Zahabiyah Syahirah Airol Anizam, who held the record since 2014. Her name contains nine words and 62 characters.
However, most Malaysians couldn’t help but to symphatise with the name as they felt that it would trouble her in the future.
From sitting for exams to applying for loans or doing her paperwork, it will prove to be a time consuming and inconvenient task. On top of that, they are also worried that she might be a victim of bullying in school.

And if you’re wondering what are the most popular male names in Malaysia, they are 'Ismail’, ‘Ahmad’ and ‘Abdullah’.
As for females, the names ‘Fatimah’, ‘Zainab’, and ‘Azizah’ are on top of the list.
