LRT3 Nears Completion: 98% Finished, Operations to Commence on September 30
Great news for avid public transportation users! The Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) will begin operating on September 30th, 2025.
In response to a parliamentary query, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the project's progress currently stands at 98.16%, as reported by NST.
"The full completion of the project is anticipated by July 31st, at which point it will be handed over to Prasarana (Malaysia Bhd) by the turnkey contractor. The operational launch of the LRT3 system is scheduled for September 30th," Loke said in response to Azli Yusof (PH-Shah Alam).
Additionally, Loke said the testing periods for the Trial Run (TR) and Trial Operation (TO) are expected to last 75 days and 60 days, respectively.
