How much do you love your country?

No matter what your answer is, we are going out on a limb to say that you probably won't be able to rival this couple's patriotism.

The New Straits Times highlighted that an elderly couple from Jempol has spent hundreds of Ringgit to decorate their home with over 200 Jalur Gemilang flags!

Meet the proud owners.
The couple didn’t stop at just displaying the flag as it is, but they even transformed them into a variety of shapes and sizes, including ‘wau bulan’ and the hibiscus flower.

Kamarudin Ahmad, 64, and his wife Zaiton Yasir, 60, told the daily that they took about two weeks to decorate their home.

“Over 200 flags have been put up to create a festive atmosphere, including decorating the six meter-high view tower nearby.

“I find it fulfilling to see the home and vicinity become more vibrant. The living room has also been decorated with recycled items such as tin cans,” said Kamarudin.

Flags. Flags everywhere.
The couple also participated in a home decoration competition organised by the state information department, but they have not put too much thought into winning it as expressing the love for the nation is more important for them.

In fact, Zaiton revealed that her family’s initiative had inspired many others in the area to do the same.

Well done, you guys! Let's hope that more Malaysians will be inspired to show their love for the country after seeing your house.
