Malaysian Netizens Have Plenty To Say About The New Proton Logo

Unless you guys have been living under a cave, you would have seen Proton's brand new logo by now.

The local carmaker revealed a redesigned logo, as well as a new tagline, at an event on Tuesday (24 September).

According to our brothers from automotive website Behind The Wheel, the brand's “Inspiring Connections” tagline “encapsulates the brand’s aspiration of utilising technology and mobility to help make human connections that inspired a successful life.”

But the thing that caught Malaysians' attention the most was not the new tagline.

It was Proton's new logo, and yes, we know what you guys are thinking, and we agree; it does look kinda similiar to the emblem of the popular 1980s cartoon 'Thundercats'.

As it turns out, we weren't the only ones thinking that: a lot of Malaysians took to their social media pages to let Proton know what they think about its new logo (with funny memes, of course):
