Guys, red zones, even the ones in Selangor, are slowly changing to yellow.

According to the latest figures by the Ministry of Health (MOH), we now have nine red zones with active cases in the country.

This is definitely way better than the time when the country had 30 red zones.

The latest to turn from red to yellow is Petaling.

Other red zones with active cases

We now have nine areas with active COVID-19 cases that have been classified as red zones.

They include Lembah Pantai (221), Kuching (131), Kepong (96), Titiwangsa (95), Gombak (87), Kluang (67), Kota Samarahan (47), Hulu Langat (48) and Seremban (45).

The figures for Peninsular Malaysia as of 12pm, 3 May.The figures for Sabah and Sarawak as of 12pm, 3 May.

Not the time to celebrate yet

The red zones may be fading away but the situation could get worse if people don't adhere to the SOPs under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah was quoted saying that the virus would most likely remain in the community for up to two years.

“The only ‘vaccine’ we have now is social distancing," he said.

The only two options that Malaysians have is to keep being under the MCO or to strictly follow the SOPs.

So, guys, be careful, wash your hands, practice good cough and sneeze etiquette, practice social distancing and go see a doctor if you're sick.
