Man Breaks Into Influencer's Home in Penang, Gets Arrested After Returning to Retrieve Forgotten Items
A man has been arrested for breaking into a house believed to belong to a local influencer.
According to Harian Metro, the incident took place in Batu Maung, Penang, involving the home of a TikTok influencer known as Choii.
What’s baffling is that the thief initially broke into the house and managed to flee, but later returned to retrieve personal items he had left behind.
Southwest District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Sazalee Adam, said a preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect entered the home through the back door while the maid was outside disposing of trash.
“The suspect fled the scene upon realising the homeowner was present, but returned to retrieve some forgotten items."
"He was later apprehended by the homeowner and his friends, who handed him over to a Mobile Patrol Vehicle (MPV) unit patrolling Zone 3, Batu Maung,” he said.
The suspect is currently being held on remand for four days
Police also stated that a urine test showed the suspect tested positive for three different drugs, methamphetamine, amphetamine, and benzodiazepine. He also has a prior record related to drug offences.
