Man Celebrates Passing Driving Test By Crashing His Car Into A Canal
We all remember the day we finally got our driving license: you feel like as if you’ve just gotten yourself a pair of wings and now you’re as free as a bird.
The day after getting your license, you probably took your dad’s car out for a spin to celebrate the achievement with your friends.
One young man in China did the same...except that he crashed his car into the canal.
Ten minutes after passing his test

Ironically, Zhang was reportedly reading congratulatory messages from his friends and family on his phone when he decided to take his car for a swim.
To make matters worse, the incident, which took place in the southern province of Guizhou, was captured by a CCTV camera nearby.

Instead of, you know, slamming on the brakes, Zhang panicked and swerved into the river.
"While I was driving, I tried to grab my phone and read some messages while two people were in front of me on the bridge. I became nervous and turned left suddenly,” he was quoted as saying.

Local residents who witnessed the incident reportedly handed Zhang some dry clothes while the police were called in to fish the car out of the river.

It is not known whether Zhang would face charges for taking an unlawful dive into the river, but we reckon the virality of his embarrassing video on social media is a pretty severe punishment to his ego.
Having said that, we hope you guys don’t drive and text too.
