Man Loses Temper & Tells Woman to "Shut Up" After Being Asked to Leave Women-Only MRT Coach

Occasionally, you see men on social media who insist on using the women-only coach on the MRT. The coach, brightly decked out in pink, was introduced to comfort women who sometimes face sexual harassment on local transport. Recently, another man went viral, refusing to leave one of these coaches and yelling at a woman for being asked to leave.
In an X video posted by @update1111, a man wearing a red shirt is seen standing in the area clearly labelled ‘Women’s only coach.’ He yelled, “Shut up,” repeatedly and remarked, “Ask the police to catch me,” in response to being told to move to the general coach for men and women. “Come, ask the police to catch me. I will stand here. I dare you to call (them),” he angrily insisted.
The woman in grey, who seemed to have initiated the request, seemed dumbfounded at his request. “Ridiculous, you know, you. My kid is so small, and you ask me to leave my kid alone,” the man said as he continued to berate her. However, the man’s wife could also be seen with him and the woman in grey replied that they could all move to the regular coach together.

Meanwhile, all the ladies in the coach just remained silent and seemed to try and avoid eye contact with the man. He continued to insist that the woman was “Ridiculous” and kept telling her to “Call the police. I dare you.” A staff member was then seen trying to calm the man down, who kept muttering “ridiculous” and “stupid”.
He was also heard saying, “The government is very corrupted". The staff member kept trying to pacify the man, but he kept arguing and asking them to install a “facial recognition feature.” He also said the coach “tak masuk akal langsung” or “doesn’t make sense at all.”

Comments poured in from X users, such as “Even if you bring your daughter along, it is not a reason for you to be in the Women’s Coach too. Bring your child over to the general coach. You insist on sitting in the Women’s Coach because of your daughter. So, if your daughter wants to go to the toilet, do you enter the female toilet with her, too?”
Another also said that other fathers would also use this as an excuse to enter women’s toilets and become Peeping Toms. One said, “Your wife is with you. Leave your child with your wife or move to another coach altogether. Nowadays, people like to argue over everything.” Some also said that the man seemed Singaporean because of his accent.
