Man Opens Emergency Exit Door On Thai Lion Air Flight, Chaos Ensues
In yet another weird case involving planes, a passenger was recently arrested by the police in Bangkok after he opened an emergency exit on a Thai Lion Air flight.
According to a report by Astro Awani, the incident happened last Saturday (29 June) when the plane was departing from the Don Mueng Airport in Thailand to Wuhan, China.
Quoting a report by the Chutian Metropolis Daily, the news portal said a witness saw the man reaching for the handle of the emergency exit and pulling it down when the plane was taxiing.
Shocked passengers reportedly shouted at him and a member of the cabin crew ran to the man to stop him from opening the door.
The man then panicked and said that he wasn’t aware that one can’t open the emergency exit, apologising profusely to the cabin crew.
Moments later, Thai police officers reportedly boarded the plane to escort the man out of the aircraft.
Because of the little incident, the plane, which was supposed to take off at 6.55pm, only managed to leave the airport at 8.47pm.
These past couple of months, we've seen some pretty weird incidents involving planes.
In April this year, a man from central China was detained after he allegedly tossed coins onto the ground beside the plane he was boarding in Wuhan as a ‘good luck’ gesture.
