In a recently viral video, a man was tackled to the ground by a group of bystanders after he was allegedly caught taking upskirt videos of women.

The video, which was shared on Facebook, showed the suspect closely following a woman from behind while holding a paper bag. Inside the bag, a mobile phone with its camera facing upward could be seen possibly used to capture indecent footage.

Based on the video, the incident took place in Bukit Bintang.

Unbeknownst to the suspect, a group of men had managed to catch him on camera and decided to confront him immediately.

Upon realising he had been caught, the suspect attempted to walk away but was quickly pulled back by the group.

While being questioned, the suspect tried to flee again but was chased down and tackled to the ground. A security guard later intervened and took control of the situation before it could escalate further.

500GB of upskirt videos allegedly found

In an update on the incident, one of the individuals at the scene claimed to have discovered over 500GB of upskirt videos while going through the suspect’s phone.

“We have since made a police report, but the police told us we could be charged as well for using excessive force while apprehending the suspect. Thus, we decided not to take further action to avoid legal trouble.”

At the end of the post, the individual urged the public to share the video to raise awareness.

“I posted this video not to show off how capable we are, but because I don’t want this person to pretend like nothing happened and prey on others. There are many photo albums of other victims on his phone, so everyone, please be careful—especially women. You might have already been secretly recorded without knowing.”
